This print is reproduced from an original illustration entirely drawn by hand, one small dot at a time, by the Acadian artist Geneviève Diotte, better known as The Lost Mermaid.

Inspired by the notions of origin, lineage and family memory, this print is part of the LES AILES DE L'ACADIE collection, a series that celebrates this unique way of situating ourselves in the world and telling our roots through generations. Each work is identified by a carefully chosen name in order to reinforce its meaning and intention.
